经济学的现状，世界的现状

　　6.利益和思想

　　在我从学术界转到印度政府工作几个月后，一位记者问我从这个转变中学到了什么？对于这样的问题，我有一个特别的答案。读者可能会想起凯恩斯对思想力量的观察，他在结语中写道：“我确信，和思想的逐渐侵蚀相比，既得利益的力量被过分夸大了。”

　　作为一名学者，我喜欢观察，但不相信观察，所以我将凯恩斯的观点视为一个教授的自言自语。直到我加入印度政府，并参加了与部长和官员们没完没了的会议后，我才对凯恩斯的观点深信不疑。

　　思想扮演着无比重要的角色，那些从事思想工作的人负有特殊的责任。因此，我认为这次会议和这本文集不仅是一种知识上的贡献，也是世界银行这类组织应尽之责的一个重要组成部分。
